JULY 29, 2011
HAPPY HOUR AT HARMONY !

This July 29th, come to Harmony Studios for a culture and art themed neighborhood meet ‘n’ greet happy hour and hang with the trainers you know and love, and get to know a few new ones.

There will be free drinks, food truck by HeirloomLA, and LIVE ART by Matt Foley, a local artist with works ranging from technology-based realms such as 3D Animation, all the way to traditional mediums such as sculpting and painting.

You can RSVP by clicking here.

On display through out Harmony will be pieces by this unique and creative force under his alternate artistic persona known as Fattmoley -who’s surreal and cryptic visual works have graced home walls, magazine covers, video games, television and movie screens.

With a style that can tell a story, grab an intense moment, or weave a complex relationship into one frame –you will be compelled to search the canvas for the underlying meaning; and you will undoubtedly leave inspired.

His themes of commitment and personal journey are on the plate for this show; and since Fattmoley is never one to deliver anything less than awe and originality, he is promising some interesting animation for those with A.D.D. as well as a mysterious live art performance!

As an added bonus, the exhibition of some of his favorite pieces will remain on display throughout Harmony, and be available for purchase throughout August.
*10% of the proceeds will go towards Rainbird Foundation and their mission to end Child Abuse.*

Features Harmony Studios as THE cool place to workout

DEE DEE GORDON + SHARON LEE cool Arbiters at Look-Look, an L.A.-based company, that tracks trends in youth culture. Translation? It finds out what’s cool and charges clients (Calvin Klein, Nike, Coke) oh, around $25,000 for the favor. The firm’s latest venture is a magazine featuring the work of emerging under-30 artists (we’ve already spotted talents like Louie Eisner and Gia Coppola).

Cofounder Dee Dee Gordon
turned off her radar long enough to list her L.A. commandments:

  • BUY collectible Japanese toys at Span of Sunset.
  • ORDER spaghetti and meatballs at Dominick’s on Beverly Boulevard.
  • WATCH old movies screened at Hollywood Forever cemetery.
  • WORK OUT at Harmony Studios on Santa Monica Boulevard; take a private Pilates class with owner Karen Schwabe Jones.
  • BOOK a facial with Mihaela at Belladonna on South Robertson.
  • SHOP at Fred Segal’s Free City Boutique for Nina Garduno designs and Arcana in Santa Monica for art books.
  • BROWSE the galleries at China Art Objects and Earl McGrath. “
